The style of Yoga I teach is perfect for a mixed group who are of different ages & levels of fitness. People’s safety is of great importance to me so easy and harder variations are given whenever necessary. I love working with Conference groups and did my first conference session over ten years ago. Most are surprised at how good they feel afterwards and some have told me they will go home and look for a class to take on a regular basis. It is a great feeling to be able to make a difference to someone’s life even if it is only short term.
Pranayama (Breathing techniques): The breath is so important & unfortunately most people don’t know how to breathe properly. Proper use of the breath can make a huge difference to your health. The breathing practices are easy to learn and leave your team much more alert and productive. There are breaths to vitalise, balance & tranquilise (done before the relaxation or after the stretches).
Yoga Nidra ( Relaxation): When you have had a big morning of mental work it can leave you exhausted. Yoga Nidra is a guided relaxation you do lying down which will totally recharge your group ready for their afternoon activities. Half an hour of Yoga Nidra is equal to two hours deep sleep & is great to do in the early afternoon. It is particularly good for those with busy minds who normally would have trouble relaxing.
As well as Yoga I can offer you Qi Gong (chi gong) which is slow, flowing movement & breathing. It is easy to follow and can be done by anyone.
